Abstract
This essay argues that dogmatic monism and ideological exclusivity pose profound dangers to pluralistic societies. Drawing on Berlin, Mill, and Rawls, it defends value pluralism, epistemic humility, and principled recognition of difference as essential foundations for democratic resilience and meaningful dialogue. It further contends that intellectual confinement undermines sound judgement and that democratic stability depends upon the sustained cultivation of openness, plurality, and institutional tolerance.
